(1). From the balanced equation we see that 1 mole Pb(OH)Cl requires 1 mole PbO.
molar mass Pb(OH)Cl = 259.7 g/mol
moles Pb(OH)Cl in 10.0 g = 10.0 g x 1 mol/259.7 g = 0.0385 moles
moles PbO needed = 0.0385 mol Pb(OH)Cl x 1 mol PbO/mol Pb(OH)Cl = 0.0385 mol PbO needed
mass of PbO needed = 0.0385 mol PbO x 223.2 g/mol = 8.59 g PbO needed
(2). From the balanced equation we see that 1mol PbO reacts with 1 mol NaCl, so it will require 0.0385 moles of NaCl.
