To solve this problem you use midpoint of a line segment formula which is:
"The midpoint (x_m,y_m) of a line segment with endpoints (x_1,y_1) and (x_2,y_2) is the point with following coordinates (x_m,y_m)=((x_1+x_2)/2, (y_1+y_2)/2)"
In this case (x_m,y_m)=((3+(-5))/2, (2+6)/2)=(-2/2, 4)=(-1,4)
