Whatever It Takes To Help
I like mind pictures. When I think of an angle and its supplement, I picture a straight line with a diagonal line coming out of it. I call one of the angles the diagonal makes X and the other 180 - X since the straight line is described as 180 degrees. Now I can make a math sentence using X for what the problem calls "an angle" and 180 - X for "its supplement."
X = 5(180 - X) - 6
distributing the 5
X = 900 - 5X - 6
combining like terms
6X = 894
solving for X
X = 149 = "an angle"
"its supplement" is 180 - X or what?

If 6s = 186, shouldn't s = 31?08/24/20
