asked 07/29/20Find the perimeter of this figure. Rectangle and semi circle connected.
The length of the rectangle is 8 and the height is 10. There is no number for the semi circle and I have to find the perimeter using 3.14. Please help and explain,thankyou!

The perimeter would be found by adding the round side of the semicircle and the other three sides of the rectangle.
Without a picture I am imaging that the semicircle's straight side is either the length or height of the rectangle. That number would be the diameter of the semicircle.
When it comes to circles, the perimeter is called a circumference. The rounded portion of the semicircle is half the circumference of a circle. Basically find the circumference then divide that number by two..

Annah, I need to know if the semi-circle is connected to the length or the height of the rectangle.07/29/20
