m = mass = 14.5 g
C = specific heat of tin = 0.21 J/g/degree (you should have been given this, or look it up)
∆T = change in temperature = 39.8 - 24.7 = 15.1 degrees
q = (14.5 g)(0.21 J/g/deg)(15.1 degree) = 46.0 J and this is heat energy LOST so it would have a negative sign
