You are tossing a coin, then rolling a die, then drawing a card from a deck of cards. What is the probability that you will get: a tail AND an even number on the die AND a card less than 5 (assume the ace is equal to 1) from the deck?

Since the events are independent the probability of all three events occurring is equal to the product of each individual event occurring

probability of getting a tail in a coin toss = 1/2

probability of getting an even number on a die roll = 1/2

probability of getting A, 1, 2, 3, 4 from a deck of 52 = 20/52 = 5/13 (4 cards of each kind in the deck)

probability of all occurring = 1/2 * 1/2 * 5/13 = 5/52
