It is incorrect because you need to set up the proportion with the formula for area, not circumference. It should be 64π instead of 16π.
Deinonychus A.
asked 07/16/20There is a question, where BOC is a sector of a circle, with O as center, angle BOC as 60 degrees. O to C is 8. A boy set up two proportions to find the area of the sector.
one is 60/360= x/16 pi.
The other is x=60/360 (16pi).
Both of these equations are wrong for the same reason.
What is the reason and why?
