Digital Disruption is on the minds of every business leader. How would a large company defend itself against smaller, disruptive and more agile companies?

First and foremost, the theory of disruptive technology is essential. However, I think the success of any organization whether large scale or small scale should not be based into what is clearly defined as disruptive.

To answer your question, large companies should not be obsessed with disruptive technology. Large companies can continue to sustain their profit maximization strategies, innovation and strengthen customer relationship. Most importantly, they need to gain more foot hold in overlooked market segments where smaller agile companies have paid more attention. In addition, introduction of new business models and feeding all the needs of all customers, I mean both the less important and over served is crucial.
