(A) Given 𝑦̂ = 51.3 + .75𝑥. Estimate the value of 𝑦 when 𝑥 = 18, considering x is in the domain of the distribution.

(B) Find the P-value for the indicated hypothesis test with

the given standardized test statistic. Right-tailed test, 𝑡 = 3.07, 𝑛 = 25

a) y = 51.3 + 0.75x = 51.3 + 0.75(18) = 51.3 + 13.5 = 64.8

b) t-score = 3.07 and DF (degrees of freedom) = 25 - 1 = 24

You will need to find the p-value in the TI -83 calculator.

1.) Press the STAT button, push the right arrow twice and see TEST list.

2.) Go to T-test by pushing down the arrow to highlight "2:T-test".

3.) Press ENTER.

4.) Enter the data you have and select "Calculate" and press ENTER.

5.) Look for the line that begins with "p=" in your results, which is the p-value.

In this case, the p-value is 0.002626.
