Use the distance formula:
distance d = √(x2 -x1)2 + (y2 - y1)2 where the two points are (x1, y1) and (x2,y2). It does not matter which point you call the first one and which you call the second one. Either way, the distance would still be the same.
Substitute the numbers from the points into the formula. Let's say (3, 4) is the first point and (1, 1) is the second point.
It would start as: √(1 - 3)2 + ... All the numbers are inside the square root sign.
See if you can finish it. The answer will still have a square root in it.
