What is the limit of |x+5|/(x+5) as x approaches -5 from the left?

If you try values that approach -5 from the left you will see that you always get an answer of -1

Try -6 /-6+5/ / -6+5 = -1/1= -1

try -5.5 etc and your answer will always be -1

If you graph it on the graphing calculator, from the table you can see that from the left it approaches -1
