This might help you:
There are 36 possible rolls.
There is only 1 roll that gives 2 as the sum so the probability of getting a 2 is 1/36
There are 2 rolls that give 3 as the sum so the probability of getting a 3 is 2/36 = 1/18
There are 3 rolls that give 4 as the sum so the probability of getting a 4 is 3/36 = 1/12
etc, etc
For your second question, remember that odds against are the number of failures divided by the number of successes. So the odds against getting a 2 are 35/1
