Each circle has a radius of 1m has and Area of π12 = πm2
Then the area of 4 circles is 4πm2.
So subtracting the area of the 4 circles from the area of the square is 16 - 4π = 3.43m2
so the probability of the dart hitting the shaded is 3.43/16 = 0.21
