If the radius of sphere is tripled, does the volume also triple? Why?

Math and computer tutor/teacher
V = (4/3)(pi) (R^3)
triples the radius
_V = (4/3)(pi)(3R)^3
= (4/3)(pi) (27R^3)
= (27) (4/3)(pi)(R^3)
= (27)[ (4/3)(pi)(R^3)]
= 27 V
Not tripled, but 27 TIMES as big !!!!
