A closed box has 6 sides
the top and bottom are 4x8 = 32 times 2 = 64 square inches
232-64 = 168 square inches for the 4 sides
each side is 168/4 = 42 = height=h
42x2 =84
84+168 = 252, but you have 232
the top & bottom might be 4h or 8h, with the 4 sides 4x8=32
4x32 = 128
232-128 = 104 for 2 sides, the top and bottom
52 for each
if the top & bottom are 4h then height is 52/4=13 inches
if they are 8h then height is 52/8 = 6 1/2 inches
It's either a 4x8x13 box
or a 4x8x6.5 inch box
depending on whether it's a relatively flat box or a tall box.
If you knew the volume of the box, you could know which is the height, 13 or 6.5 inches.
