Word problem im stuck

Given a sports drink is $1.75 and a slice of pizza is $2.25

A person makes a purchase for $21.50. They purchased 3 more sports drinks than pizza. How many sports drinks did they purchase?

Please check the numbers in the question. They do not give integers for the numbers of pizzas and drinks.

Yes sorry the total is $21.25. 1.75 (x) + 2.25 (x-3)=21.25

The total cost is $21.25 for the problem. Using that value everything works out perfect
