To find perimeter of anything means, just adding the lengths of the sides.
For example : Perimeter of the fencing to your house is calculated by adding the length of the fence each side.
Coming to the question, the points are given and we need to find the Perimeter.
So, think now, what is required to find perimeter ?
It's the length of each side of the Rhombus.
Given the points, to find the length, we need to find the distance between the points, which gives us the length of the side of rhombus.
S(-1,2), T(2,3), A(3,0), R(0,-1)
Find ST, TA, AR, RS.
NOTE : Like square, Rhombus also has all equal sides.
So, we just need to find one side
Distance= ST = square root of ((x2 - x1)^2 + (y2 - y1)^2)
S(-1 , 2 ), T( 2 , 3 )
(x1,y1) (x2,y2)
square root of ((2 -(-1))^2 + (3 - 2)^2)
square root of ( (3)^2 + (1)^2 )
square root of ( 9 + 1 )
square root of (10)
Perimeter = S+S+S+S => 4S
Perimeter = 4 * square root of (10)
