Take the square root of the area and you get 49.5.

49.5/16.5 = 3

The correct answer is D.

One way is actually plugging the numbers. You already know that a square has equal sides and Area of a square is side length multiplied by the side length. So, if a is the length of a square, then a x a =Area.

So, a side length of 16.5 inches x 16.5=272.5 square inches is the Area.

If you multiply Area 272.5 x 9=2450.25 square inches. Square Root of √2450.25=49.5 inches.

And, if you divide 49.5/3=16.5 inches which is Option D.
