If A(0 , 3) and B(-11,-18) are (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) respectively, then
A(0 , 3) B(-11,-18)
(x1,y1) (x2 , y2)
and AC : CB = 5 : 3
a : b
Using the formula ,To find the point C : ( (b x1 + a x2) / (a+b) , (b y1 + a y2) / (a+b) ).

No, the answer i got is : (-6.9, -10.1). I have to mention a point here : If the point partitions the line segment internally then, the formula is : ( (m x2 + n x1) / (m+n) , (m y2 + n y1) / (m+n) ). If the point partitions the line segment externally then, the formula is : ( (m x2 - n x1) / (m-n) , (m y2 - n y1) / (m-n) ).04/08/20

This is according to the formula: ( (m x2 + n x1) / (m+n) , (m y2 + n y1) / (m+n) ). => ( [ (5) (-11) + (3) (0) ] / 8) , [ (5) (-18) + (3) (3) ] / 8) => (-55/8 , (- 90+9) / 8 ) => (-55/8 , -81/8 ) => ( - 6.875, -10.1 )04/08/20
