V2 = P1V1/P2 so if let's say you started with 1 L at a pressure of 1 atm. You then doubled the pressure to 2 atm, you an solve for V2: V2 = (1atm)(1 L)/2 atm and V2 = 1/2 = the volume is half of the original volume.
