Compete molecular equation:
HClO4(aq) + NaOH(aq) ==> H2O(l) + NaClO4(aq)
This is an acid/base neutralization which produces liquid water and no precipitate. Since all species except H2O(l) completely dissociate, they are not included in the net ionic equation.
Net ionic equation: H+(aq) + OH-(aq) ==> H2O(l)
Spectator ions are ClO4-, Na+
