Find Surface area and volume of a right pyramid with a square base?

I am only given the height, which is 8, and the length of one side of the square base, which is 12. I need to find the surface area and volume. I would include a picture but I don't know how.

IF you didn't recognize that you had a 3-4-5 triangle, you could calculate the hypotenuse using the Pythagorean Theorem: 6 squared plus 8 squared is 100, and the square root of 100 is 10, which is the measure of the hypotenuse.
