In this equation, the mole ratio of B to C is 3 to 2 (3 : 2). What does this mean? It means that for every THREE moles of B that react, TWO moles of C will be formed (assuming there is enough A).
Using this mole ratio, we can easily calculate the moles of C formed from 3.8 moles of B....
3.8 moles B x 2 moles C/3 moles B = 2.5 moles of C (to 2 significant figures).
