moles K = 34.3 g x 1 mol/39.1 g = 0.877 moles K
moles O = 7.02 g x 1 mol/16 g = 0.439
Dividing both by 0.439 we obtain
0.877/0.439 = 1.99 = 2 moles K
0.439/0.439 = 1.00 = 1 mole O
Empirical formula = K2O
