First, write a correctly balanced equation:
Ni + S ==> NiS
Next, find which reactant is in limiting supply:
moles Ni = 10 g Ni x 1 mol Ni/59 g = 0.17 moles Ni
moles S = 4 g S x 1 mol S/32 g = 0.031 moles S
Since the balanced equation shows a 1:1 mole ratio of Ni and S, the S is in limiting supply
Finally, find grams of NiS produced:
0.031 moles S x 1 mol NiS/mol S x 91 g NiS/mol NiS = 2.8 g = 3 g NiS produced (to only 1 sig. fig.)

Hi Stanton, thank you so much! I am just having trouble with every problem, I think I lack basic understanding. However, I will attempt them again. Have a good day! :)03/02/20
