Jesset, I’m with you, I can get an answer close to (a), but not close enough. It’s an unusual problem, because most of the time “simplify” means “denominator has no radicals”, but all of the proposed answers violate that. But even if we ignore that habit, I can’t manipulate this expression into one of the four answers. I think you’re right.
