There are a couple of ways to figure this out. One way is with a common denominator. So, multiply the 2/3 cup of juice by 2 (multiply both numerator and denominator by 2). This will give you 4/6 cup of juice. From here you can see that there are 4 portions of 1/6 in a 2/3 cup of juice.
Alternatively, you could divide 2/3 by 1/6. When dividing fractions you can follow the rule: same, change, flip. This means leave the first fraction the SAME, CHANGE the division sign to the multiplication sign, FLIP the second fraction. So, 2/3÷1/6 = 2/3 × 6/1. When multiplying fractions, you multiply the numerators and multiply the denominators. So, 2/3 × 6/1= 12/3, which equals 4.
