Is this definitely for an algebra class? I would use statistics to solve this question, specifically z-scores.

the formula for z-score is:

Actual - mean

z-score = ————————

Standard deviation

you’ll need to find the z-score for the two given values of 350 and 650 using the formula above two separate times, once with x=350 and again with x=650.

then you need to refer to the z-score chart to find the decimals (percentages) that go with your z-scores.

finally, subtract the two decimals you retrieved from the z-score chart.
