Two mixed cylinders have exactly the same volume. Cylinder A has a higher fraction of Al than cylinder B. Is the mass of cylinder A greater than, less than, or equal to the mass of cylinder B? Explain why.

The mass of cylinder A would be greater than that of cylinder B because the density of aluminum (Al) is greater than the density of air. Thus a given volume of Al will have a greater mass than that same volume of air, and since cylinder A contains more Al, the mass of A will be greater.
