Question

Grayson has an average of 17.3 points scored per game with a standard deviation of 4.2. Whitney has an average of 18.9 points per game with a standard deviation of 7.5. Find the mean of the difference between Grayson and Whitney's average points per game.

This one is actually pretty easy. If we can assume that the data sets are large enough to be normal distributions then the mean of the difference of the means is just the difference of the means.

In this case 18.9 minus 17.3 = 1.6.
