Because there is a equal and opposite force acting on the pins after the collision, they will move in the same direct as the bowling ball. This is the same concept as when a baseball bat strikes a ball. However, to be more precise, the angel of the pins being hit will play a factor in the direction as well. This concept will be covered in later math and physics topics. So for now, the answer will be the same direction as the bowling ball.
