Looking at the balance equation N2 + 3H2 ==> 2NH3, we see that it takes THREE MOLES of H2 to produce TWO moles of product (NH3). Thus, the mole ratio is 3:2. We now use this mole ratio, to do the required calculations:
3.4 moles H2 x 2 moles NH3 / 3 moles H2 = 2.3 moles NH3 can be made (Answer d).
