Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
3(2n-7) +12 = 29
6n -21 +12 = 29
6n = 29-12+21 = 38
n=38/6= 19/3 = 6 1/6
check the answer, plug it into the original equation
3(2(19/3 -7) +12 = 38-21 +12 = 29
Alexandra L.
asked 10/20/19So I am having trouble solving this question: 3(2n-7) + 12 = 39
So first i tried using the way i was taught in school:
3(2n-7)+12=29
6n + -21 + 12 = 39
+ 21 +21
6n + 33 = 39
-33 -33
6n/6 = 6/6
so n equals 1
but then i went to math papa to look over my answer and it gave me a whole different way of doing it and said the answer is n=8
Which one is correct?
