assume that a particle moves along a circle of radius r for a period of time t. Given either the arc length s or the central angle θ swept out by the particle, find the linear and angular speed of the particle.

a) r = 1 m, t = 1.6 sec, s = 3 m

Linear Speed (V) = S / t. Therefore V = 3 m / 1.6 secs = 1.875 m/secs

Angular speed (ω) = Θ / t. Where Θ = 2 x Π rad . We know Π = 3.142

ω= 2 x 3.142 rad / 1.6 secs = 3.92 rad / secs
