The other angle is 90 - 36 = 54 degrees (For all triangles, the sum of the 3 angles is 180 degrees. In a right triangle, the sum of the acute angles is 180 -90 = 90 degrees)
To get the sides, use the given value of the hypotenuse, and either sine or cosine of one of the acute angles.
To remember which trig term is which, remember the young Native American girl: SOHCAHTOA
Sin = O/H
Cos = A/H
Tan = O/A

What exactly did you do? What answer did you get? What answer do you think is right?10/14/19

the correct answer is 9.708 and 7.053 The smaller number is 12*sin(36) = 12 * 0.58779 = 7.053 If you first round to 0.588, then you get 12* 0.588 = 7.056 This is really sort of splitting hairs, but the rule is "only round once--at the last step".10/16/19
