asked 09/19/19I am trying to factor 2x^2+17x+30. I know that the factor needs to be 60 with a sum of 17. So, I figured out that -3*20 works since the sum is 17. However, I plugged in the working factor -> 2x^2-3x+20x+30. When I go further, I end up with x(2x-3)+10(2x+3). I know this is not correct since inside of the parentheses, one is a negative and one is a positive. What am I doing wrong??
Thank you!
