We can set up the equation like this: (2+x)(7) = 13, where x is what we are trying to solve.
We can distribute the 7, so we get 14+7x = 13.
Subtract 14 from both sides to get 7x=-1.
Finally, we divide both sides by 7 to get x=-1/7.
