Acids are proton donors. I like to remember that HCl is hydrochloric acid, and it has an extra H hanging out that it can give up.
Acids create hydronium ions in water, because the H20 molecule picks up that H that the acid donated and becomes H30+, which is called hydronium.
The answer is e) (both a) and c))
