rectangle perimeter = 2(W + L ) lets call width=W and length =L
rectangle area =L*W solve for the two equation since L=3*W we can substitute in both equations and we get
rectangle perimeter = 2(W + 3*W)= 8W.
rectangle area = 3*W*W= 3W2 =108cm2 solve for W we get W=6cm.
therefore the rectangle perimeter is equal 8W=8*6=48cm.
Hope it helps :)
