Find the area of a regular hexagon with 8 feet sides. Round the answers to the nearest whole number.

My teacher told me that I have to use radians instead of tan . I made a similar problem to this before with tan and it was this : 360 / 6 = 60

60 = top of one angle

180 - 60 = 120, 120 / 2 = 60

60 = side angle

Area = 1/2*Base*Height

tan (60) = h (10/2)

h = 5 * tan (60), h = 8.66

A = 1/2 (10) (8.66)

A = 43.3

43.3 * 6 = 259.8

What if we had a 100-sided regular polygon? Do you think that the area would be closer to 201 sq ft?
