Equation for time spent running

Mural spends a total of 4 hours training for a 5k race. During that time, Mural runs full speed at 6 mph and then she walks back to her starting point at 2 miles per hour. Write and solve an equation where x represents the time Mural spent running.

time times speed = times times speed in the other direction

ts = ts = distance, equal in each direction, x= time at 6mph, 4-x= time at 2mph

6x = 2(4-x) = 8-2x

8x = 8

x = 1 hour at 6mph, 3 hours at 2 mph walking back
