The formula for the volume of a cylinder is:
V = π r2 h
If the height is multiplied by 4, this means the new height is 4h. Substituting this into the equation we get:
V = π r2 (4h)
rewriting we get:
V = 4π r2 h
The only difference between this formula and the orginal volume formula is that it is multiplied by 4.
Therefore, the volume with be 4 times the volume of the original cylinder if the height is multiplied by 4.
