asked 08/22/19If AB = 18 and AC 3x + 6 then x?

To solve this problem, we need to treat A as spectator since it's with both B and C.
So the equation would be as such: B = C, which is 18 = 3x +6. subtract 6 on both sides.
18 = 3x +6
-6 = -6
12 = 3x
4 = x

18/b=a
ac=18/b*c=3x+6
6c/b=x+2
6c/b-2=x

Is there a diagram that goes along with this problem? Or is there information about B along the segment AC?
There is not enough information given as the problem is stated to solve for x.
