I'm not sure what your Q1, Q3, and IQR are. I'm guessing question numbers? But in your data set, here's how you would find median. First, line up the number in order. Then cross off the lows and highs until you come to the middle number. In this case, you have an even amount of data points, so the middle is 8 and 9. Then your median is halfway between those numbers.
6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 15
6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 15
Median = 8.5
A median is a quick way to find a central tendency, but the mean (or average) is the most accurate.
I hope that helps.
