CONQUER CHEMISTRY with me! PhD in Chem who can talk in simple terms.
In a scientific investigation, the term “quantitative data” refers to numbers that are usually followed by
...
a unit that is well defined.
So if I told you I will give you 100 ---
is that great or is that terrible?
say it's 100 bucks - is that dollars or deer?
If I tell you something is 40 long - is that miles, mm, feet, meters...??? Knowing it is 40 tells you nothing without the units.
I always say numbers without units are useless.
Units makes a difference!
