Patient tutor for high school aged and lower students.
A cube is 6 squares. If the area of one face of the cube is 36m2, then we can find what the length of one side would be.
A = a2 ; This is the formula for the area of a square. Substitute the known value and solve for the unknown.
36m2 = a2 : Take the square root of both sides
√(36m2) = √a2
6m = a
The volume of a cube formula is :
V = a3
Now you have a = 6m, so:
V = (6m)3
V = 216m3
