NO unless you do a lot of compositing NO NO NO.. Its still a marketing gimmick to get you buy more stuff and you will have to buy more stuff . 4X resolution and size mean expensive drives faster ram or your gonna have issue. Unless you have a client asking for it. Very few people even watch 4K yet.. My mom has 2 4K tVs and never watches it.
It is mostly used for visual effects, sports and compositing. If you have the bucks Then coming soon is 6K...
Don't get me wrong I love 4k. But even shooting it on my phone is an issue. I say in about 2 more years ..
