I have personally been a public speaking for over 20 years, and I still experience varying levels of anxiety, typically before a speech, rarely during a speech. With time and patience, I have learned to use the energy of anxiety to help motivate me to move forward. I realize this may sound counter intuitive, however when I face the anxiety and dare I say embrace it, it becomes okay that it is there, and it can be a strong energy, so I use it to propel me forward, rather than drag me down.
