Practice. Take every opportunity to write and speak publicly. The more you do it, the more natural it will feel.
For speaking: join a local club (Rotary, Toastmasters) that gives you the opportunity to talk in front of a group of people. You'll be surprised at how quickly it will start to feel easier. If you don't already, consider volunteering on a local nonprofit board - you'll have ample chances to speak in public.
For writing: just write, seriously. If you like stories, commit to writing a story and sharing it for honest, constructive feedback with someone you trust. Take a look at online publications that focus on things you love, and write a blog post about something you already know.
