You may Ask your audience a very provocative and challenging question based on your topic. If you have a particular preference pro or con, ask a question that will make those who feel differently than you do perhaps a little bit squeamish like they don't want to admit it. For example, a view state that every knowledgeable person, every intelligent person etc would understand and agree with this then other people might feel that if they don't agree with it they're not intelligent.
